Fun project where I modeled a custom phone in Plasticity, exported the phone to Houdini for lighting, rendering, animation and VFX. I gave the phone animation curves some love of couse and UV unwrapped the CAD model just enough to put an animation on the screen. The interface animation was all done using Figma and After Effects.

UV's
UV's
UV unwrapping is a lot of 3D artist worst nightmare. Not mine, before getting nice textures one must have nice UV's. I'm unwrapping in Houdini Blender and Maya these days no special UV tools.

I wanted to make sure I knew all about UV's to take my 3D models into substance painter and create some game ready assets in the future.
